Voluntary
The association of the Czech potato sector, founded in 1993 and based in Havlíčkův Brod. Its members are potato growers, processors, traders in ware and seed potatoes, breeding companies and the Potato Research Institute (VÚB); according to the website it has 93 members in grower, processor and trader sections. It holds technical seminars and the Bramborářské dny every October, and is a member of the European potato association Europatat.
Voluntary. Natural and legal persons who grow, process or trade potatoes can join, as can individuals whose knowledge helps the association's aims. Membership is created by submitting the ČBS application form and paying the fee for the year of entry, with approval by the presidium (or by joining a branch association). Each member belongs to one section.
An annual fee is due by the deadline set by the presidium; the organisation does not publish the amount — please ask them directly.
