Voluntary
The national association of Czech beef cattle breeders, founded in May 1990. As a recognised breeding association it coordinates beef cattle breeding on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture: it keeps the herdbooks for about 25 beef breeds and, with its own inspectors, carries out performance recording (KUMP), conformation scoring and the selection of young bulls. Breeders belong to breed clubs. It organises shows and seminars and helps with selling animals.
Membership is voluntary; the conditions, rights and duties are set out in the statutes. Breeders, natural or legal persons, interested in beef breeds and in suckler cow farming can join. The membership and herdbook application form can be downloaded from the website's “Legislativa – svazová” section.
Under the 2025 fee schedule, full members pay the herdbook fee: CZK 1,000 a year for herdbook membership and CZK 500 for each further breed herdbook; the one-off entry fee of CZK 5,000 applies only to breeders who do not want to join the association. Supporting (zájmový) member: CZK 1,000 a year. Performance recording (KUMP): CZK 1,000 per herd per year plus CZK 270 (level “A”) or CZK 180 (level “B”) per cow per year.
Fee basis: flat annual fee
