The professional association of Czech grape growers and winemakers, based in Velké Bílovice. It represents the sector towards the Ministry of Agriculture and the food inspection authority, takes part in shaping wine legislation and advises its members. It runs the Vinařství roku (Winery of the Year) competition, the Salon vín ČR and Oenoforum, and publishes the trade journal Vinařský obzor.
Membership is voluntary. Under the statutes (2023), only someone who must pay levies to the Vinařský fond under Section 35(1)(a) or (b) of Act No. 321/2004 Coll. (at least 1,000 litres of wine placed on the market a year or at least 1 ha of vineyard) can be a full member; professional and winegrowers' associations are also full members. Any natural person over 18 and any legal person whose activity is (also) in viticulture or winemaking can be an associate member. The board decides on admission.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. Under the statutes, full members' fees depend on vineyard area and the quantity of wine produced, according to the fee rules adopted by the general assembly.
