Voluntary
A German farmers' association that represents family and peasant-scale farms, both conventional and organic. It was founded in 1980 and today has nine regional associations and a youth branch (junge AbL). Its main topics are fair producer prices, access to land, GMO-free farming, livestock keeping and support for young farmers. It works with the international farmers' movement La Via Campesina; its monthly paper is the “Unabhängige Bauernstimme”.
