The national technical committee of German fruit and vegetable growers, based at the Deutscher Bauernverband (DBV) headquarters in Berlin; it has no website of its own. It has fruit-growing and vegetable-growing groups and represents growers' concerns (minimum wage, trading practices, plant protection, weather-risk insurance) towards government and parliament. It publishes a monthly newsletter (BOG-Mitteilungen) and sits on the BLE advisory board for fruit, vegetables and potatoes. According to the 2023–2024 newsletters, it drew up a concept with the ZVG for state support of multi-peril insurance in horticulture.
A technical committee within the DBV; individual farmers cannot be direct members. Fruit and vegetable growers are linked to it through their state farmers' association or the trade associations.
There is no individual membership or fee; farmers pay their fee to their state association. The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
