The Bauern- und Winzerverband Rheinland-Nassau (BWV) is the voluntary union of farmers and winegrowers in northern Rhineland-Palatinate (along the Rhine, Moselle, Nahe and Ahr and in the Eifel, Hunsrück, Westerwald and Taunus), based in Koblenz. It was founded in 1948; its predecessors go back to 1881. Its district offices provide tax, bookkeeping, legal, insurance and subsidy advice, and it publishes the Rheinische Bauernzeitung and Die Winzer-Zeitschrift.
Voluntary. Agricultural, forestry and wine-growing businesses in the region can join; the competent district board decides on the application. Basic SVLFG social insurance advice is also available to non-members.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The district offices provide information on the fee.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
