Familienbetriebe Land und Forst is the association of private family-run farm and forest estates, an umbrella of 11 state associations. It represents family businesses in agriculture, forestry and winegrowing at national and European level, especially in defence of private property (e.g. on rent caps, forest law, the EU Nature Restoration Regulation). At European level it works with ELO (European Landowners' Organization). It is for farmers who own land and forest, both small and large holdings.
Voluntary. Membership is through the state associations: if you want to join, contact the state association (Landesverband) for your area. Young people have a separate youth organisation (Next Generation, about 200 members), which you join with a membership form.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask directly. The state association informs you about the regular fee. The youth organisation (NextGen) costs EUR 20 per year.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
