The Hessischer Bauernverband (HBV) is the voluntary farmers' union of the state of Hesse: with its 18 district and regional unions it represents about 18,000 farms, regardless of type of production, size or legal form. It is a member of the German Farmers' Association (Deutscher Bauernverband). Its 21 district and regional offices provide advice and services to members.
Voluntary. Any farmer and any natural person connected with agriculture can join, and can remain a member as a retired farmer (Altenteiler) or landlord. You join through the district or regional union (Kreis- / Regionalbauernverband) for your area, using the online application.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The district or regional union office informs you about joining and the fee.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
