Landvolk Niedersachsen is the state farmers' union of Lower Saxony, based in Hanover. Through its 34 district unions (Kreislandvolkverbände) it represents, according to its website, about 70,000 members (about 35,000 farming families) at state, federal and EU level. Members get advice and services locally from their district union.
Voluntary. Farmers become members of the district union (Kreislandvolkverband) for their area; the full members of the state union are the district unions themselves. Farm managers get the full service package and voting rights, there is a special offer for young farmers, and supporting membership is possible without a farm. Apply using the form on the website.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The fee is collected by the district union (Kreislandvolkverband); ask there.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
