About

The Landesbauernverband (LBV) in Baden-Württemberg is the voluntary farmers' union for Württemberg and northern Baden, with about 30,000 members and 20 district unions (Kreisbauernverbände). It represents farmers in state politics and, through the German Farmers' Association (Deutscher Bauernverband), at federal and European level. Members get personal advice at the district offices on tax, legal, subsidy and social insurance matters.

Voluntary. Farmers join the Kreisbauernverband for their place of residence or business; the district office explains how to join. In southern Baden (Freiburg area) the local union is the BLHV.

Membership fee

The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The district office (Kreisbauernverband) for your place of residence informs you about the fee and how to join.
