The professional body of winegrowers in the Franconia (Franken) wine region, founded on 29 May 1836, with its office in Würzburg. It represents Franconian wine producers towards all political and administrative levels and holds tastings several times a year for the Franconian wine awards (Fränkische Weinprämierung). It shares an office and works closely with the regional wine marketing company Gebietsweinwerbung Frankenwein-Frankenland GmbH.
Voluntary. Wine-growing businesses and wineries in the Franconian wine region (mainly Lower Franconia, partly Middle Franconia) can join; the website does not give joining details.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly.
