The Westfälisch-Lippischer Landwirtschaftsverband (WLV) is the voluntary farmers' union for the Westphalia and Lippe part of North Rhine-Westphalia, based in Münster. Its about 38,000 members (figure from January 2022) are organised in 19 district and about 480 local associations. It is a member of the German Farmers' Association (Deutscher Bauernverband) and offers members legal, tax, social insurance, farm management and insurance advice.
Voluntary. Under the statutes (2021), any natural or legal person who supports the union's aims as the professional body of agriculture and forestry can become a full member. Membership starts with a written or oral declaration or by paying the fee, unless the local association objects within 6 months.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. Under the statutes the annual fee is set by the state committee in a fee regulation; district associations may add surcharges, and individual advice is charged separately.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
