The national confederation of Spanish Holstein-Friesian (Frisona Española) breeders, founded in 1990 (its predecessor ANFE in 1971). It keeps the breed's herd book, carries out type classification, genetic and genomic evaluations and coordinates milk recording. In the online SINBAD system members can access the genetic and production data of their herd; it publishes the magazine Frisona Española.
Voluntary. The confederation's members are one regional Friesian association or federation per autonomous community (e.g. FEFRIGA – Galicia, FEFRIC – Catalonia, ASCOLAF – Asturias, AFCA – Cantabria). As a farmer keeping Holstein-Friesian dairy cows you enter the herd book through the association of your autonomous community; non-member farms and heifer-rearing centres can use the services at higher rates.
2026 fees (excl. VAT) for association members: €100 per farm per year plus €3.40 per breeding female (non-members and rearing centres: €120 and €6.00). The per-head fee covers e.g. birth registration, parentage checks, routine type classification and online queries; if you join in the second half of the year, the per-head fee is 50%. Other services are charged separately, e.g. pedigree certificate €10, individual classification from €350 per farm.
