Voluntary
A Spanish sector federation founded in 1987 that brings together associations of businesses producing and exporting fruit, vegetables, potatoes, nuts, flowers and ornamental plants. It reports 33 provincial, regional or national associations as members, with more than 2,200 farming and trading businesses, representing over 70% of Spain's exportable fruit and vegetable production (excluding citrus and bananas). It represents the sector with Spanish and EU institutions, with its own office in Brussels; it co-organises the Fruit Attraction fair in Madrid with IFEMA and develops quality production protocols.
Voluntary, but the federation's members are associations, not individual farmers. A producing or exporting business joins through one of the sector or regional associations belonging to FEPEX; member companies can be searched on the website.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The fee is set by the member association through which the business joins.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
