Coordination rurale (CR) is a French farmers' union founded at the end of 1991, a trade union since 1995 (previously an association). It describes itself as '100% farmers', independent of economic and political organisations, defending all types of production and especially fair producer prices. It has local branches (CR locales) in every department and sector sections (e.g. dairy, cereals, livestock, fruit and vegetables).
Membership is voluntary and open to farmers. You can join online (adhesion.coordinationrurale.fr) or through the departmental CR branch.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
