The French association of the biodynamic Demeter label, a member organisation of the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International. It manages the Demeter label for food, cosmetics and textiles, keeps the register of members and gives technical help (authorised inputs, seed lists). It is for organic farmers moving to biodynamic farming.
Voluntary, but using the label requires membership and a contract. The whole farm must be organic and biodynamic (non-GMO and non-CMS seed, biodiversity rules). Farmers and winegrowers apply by 15 March; the first audit takes place June–December, after which certification or conversion status renews automatically every year. Audits alternate between Demeter's own auditors and approved organic certifiers (Alpes Contrôle, Certipaq, Ecocert).
The membership and label fees are not published openly (they are shown in the members' area after applying) — please ask directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
