Mandatory levy, no membership
The interbranch organisation of the French pig sector, officially recognised since 2003. In five colleges it brings together feed makers, pig farmers, slaughterers and cutters, cured-meat manufacturers and distributors (retail, butchers, catering). It funds promotion (Le Porc Français mark), export, research, animal-health, quality and welfare programmes and the BD PORC traceability database.
Members are trade federations; farmers are not direct members. However, the extended levy is due on every pig slaughtered in mainland France or exported live; the final payer is the last farmer who owned the animal, and the slaughterhouse (for live exports, the owner) deducts it from the payment.
2026–2028: extended farmers' levy EUR 0.07 per pig (CVE Amont), plus a non-extended, voluntary EUR 0.11 per pig (CV Amont: promotion, animal health, modernisation). A separate extended levy of EUR 0.17 + VAT per pig funds fallen-stock collection (ATM Porc). The slaughterhouse deducts it from the payment every month and pays it via the regional pig association or the grading body.
Fee basis: number of animals
