Mouvement de défense des exploitants familiaux (Confédération syndicale agricole des exploitants familiaux) (MODEF)

MODEF is a French farmers' union (confederation) for family farms. It works through departmental federations in about 48 departments and overseas territories. It speaks for family farmers in debates on the CAP, food sovereignty, livestock farming and access to land, and publishes the journal „L'Exploitant Familial”.

Membership is voluntary. Family farmers can join with the online or PDF form; the application is handled by the MODEF federation of their department.

The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly.
