The national breeders' association for five Italian native beef breeds – Marchigiana, Chianina, Romagnola, Maremmana and Podolica – based in Perugia. It keeps the herd books, prepares and runs the breeding programme approved by the Ministry, and performance-tests young bulls at its genetic centre (Centro Genetico). It is a non-profit association.
Voluntary. Breeders of the five breeds can join under the conditions set by the statute. Services are also open to non-members taking part in the breeding programme, but at higher prices (+ VAT).
