The Italian association for biodynamic farming, with its head office in Florence and regional and thematic sections; by its own account active since 1947. It organises courses, conferences and cultural events, advises farmers and connects biodynamic farms. Demeter certification is handled by a separate body (Demeter Associazione Italia, 1985).
Voluntary. Farmers, farm workers, agronomists, farming, processing or trading businesses, gardeners and anyone active in the regional sections can become full members; supporters can join as “friends”. Membership runs for the calendar year.
Annual fee (1 January – 31 December): full member at least €80 (suggested €100), supporting member at least €1,000. Full and supporting members have voting rights. On-farm advice for members (first visit): €400 plus expenses.
