Voluntary
The federation of Italian independent winegrowers (vignaioli indipendenti), founded in 2008, with more than 1,800 members from every region. An independent winegrower farms their own vineyards, makes wine from their own grapes, bottles it and sells it personally under their own name and label. FIVI represents them with the Ministry, the regions and – through the European CEVI – in Brussels; local delegations hold events.
Voluntary. Natural or legal persons meeting the conditions of the statute and admission rules (own vineyards, own winemaking and sales) can join. The application needs two existing FIVI members as sponsors (preferably from the local delegation), and the vineyard area is certified by the farm register file (fascicolo aziendale).
Annual fee: €110 for up to 5 ha of vineyards; above 5 ha, +€15 for each extra hectare (e.g. 10 ha: €185), capped at €600. From 1 January 2026 new members also pay a one-off €50 entry fee. Pay only after admission is confirmed.
Fee basis: area/volume-based
