Voluntary
A ministry-recognised national union of fruit, vegetable and potato producer organisations (POs), founded in 1969. By its own account it represents more than 156 POs and associations of POs (APOs), which account for about 40% of Italy's organised fruit and vegetable production (over EUR 2.5 billion turnover). It helps member POs obtain recognition and draw up and manage their EU operational programmes.
Membership is voluntary and is for producer organisations (POs, APOs); farmers take part through a member PO. EU fruit and vegetable support (operational programmes, Regulation (EU) 1308/2013) is only available through a recognised PO — the farmer must be a member of one.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly.
