Producer organisation (PO) · Italy · national
Voluntary
A non-profit national union of olive producer associations founded in 1981, one of the three olive unions recognised by the Ministry. By its own account its 18 member associations bring together about 15,000 producers in ten regions (Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Apulia, Sicily). It offers technical advice, regulatory help and certification to olive growers, mills and bottlers.
Membership is voluntary. UNAPOL's members are regional olive producer associations and organisations (POs); farmers join through them. The member POs are listed on the 'Le nostre OP' page of the website.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
