Association of breeders of Carpathian Brindle (kárpáti borzderes) cattle (short name Kárpáti Borzderes Egyesület), founded in 2018 and based in Adony. The Ministry of Agriculture recognised it as a breeding organisation in 2020 and approved the breed's breed-reconstruction breeding programme. It works to spread and conserve the hardy, triple-purpose (milk, meat, draught) breed and to promote keeping it on small farms, together with research partners. It runs largely on voluntary work.
Voluntary. Full members can be any natural person, legal person or organisation without legal personality that keeps Carpathian Brindle cattle, accepts the statutes, follows the breeding programme and husbandry guidelines and provides data regularly. Applications can be sent in writing to the president or through the registration form on the website (stating age, sex, number and location of the animals); the board decides on admission. Without animals, expert or supporting membership is possible. Animals can enter breeding from 18 months of age after conformation scoring and parentage verification. Only members can take part in the breeding programme (2019. évi LVI. törvény, 188/2019. (VII. 30.) Korm. rendelet).
Under the statutes (2019) the general assembly sets the fee each year; it is paid on the number of cows on 1 January of the year, by 20 December at the latest. The organisation does not publish the amount — ask them directly.
