Landjugend Österreich (LJÖ)

Austria's largest rural youth organisation: an independent association with nine provincial organisations, around 1,200 local and district groups and more than 90,000 members. It runs training, farming competitions, cultural and folk-tradition activities and international exchanges. It is not only for farmers, but agriculture and farm succession are core topics. A member of CEJA (European Council of Young Farmers) since 1995.

Voluntary individual membership: you sign up with the Landjugend of your home province (the joining page at landjugend.at links to the provincial pages) and belong to a local group. It is for young people, but neither the national nor the provincial joining pages state an age limit; if it matters, ask the provincial organisation.

The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask them directly.
