Who are they?

About

The national association representing private forest owners and forest managers. It advises on forest management, helps with timber sales and compliance with EUTR rules, and publishes a newsletter and training material. Through the Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) it also represents its members at EU level.

Who is it for?

Is it mandatory?Voluntary

Voluntary. Private forest owners, primary producers, forestry professionals, sole traders, forest-owner associations, forestry service providers, companies and NGOs can join by submitting a membership declaration.

What does it cost?

Membership fee
  • at least 15,000 HUF — individual
  • at least 75,000 HUF — organisation

In 2026: HUF 15,000 per year for individuals and small businesses (forestry turnover up to HUF 2 million a year); HUF 75,000 per year for forest-owner associations, forestry companies and other businesses; HUF 5,700 per year for retired members. Payment deadline: 31 March.

Fee basis: flat annual fee
