Voluntary
The chain-wide association of the Austrian fruit and vegetable sector: founded in 2017 as an association that brings growers, the chamber and retail to one table. Its full members are the Bundes-Obstbauverband, the Bundesgemüsebauverband, the Landwirtschaftskammer Österreich and the Handelsverband; its associate members are partners in its sustainability project. It deals with issues along the whole value chain and speaks for the sector; it runs a sector directory and an events calendar. It is a registered association; it does not appear as a recognised interbranch organisation on the European Commission's 2024 list (which has no Austrian interbranch organisation at all).
Voluntary; members are organisations. Farmers are not members directly but connect through their provincial fruit or vegetable growers' association and the national federation (BOV, BGV). We found no compulsory levy extended by law.
Organisational fee — does not apply directly to farms; the amount is not published.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
