Producer organisation (PO) · Poland · national
Voluntary
The national union of Polish fruit and vegetable producer groups and producer organisations, run as a cooperative of legal persons; founded in 2007 and entered in the court register (KRS) in 2008. Its members are not individual farmers but producer groups and organisations — the member list on its website shows more than 40 fruit, vegetable and mushroom producer organisations. It represents its members with the authorities and abroad, organises advice, training and promotion campaigns, and runs a Polish national stand at foreign trade fairs (e.g. Fruit Attraction, Madrid). By its own account it is a member of the European association EUCOFEL, and its representative sits on the 2025–2029 committee of the Fundusz Promocji Owoców i Warzyw.
Voluntary, and only legal persons can join: a fruit and vegetable producer group entered in the register of producer groups, a provisionally recognised producer group or a recognised producer organisation. Individual farmers cannot join directly — they can belong to the union through their own producer group or organisation. Joining requires a resolution of the organisation's decision-making body, the appointment of a proxy and a written membership declaration; the board (Zarząd) decides on admission within three months.
Under the statutes the entry fee (wpisowe) is PLN 500 and is not refundable; in addition a share (udział) of PLN 500 must be paid, which is refunded when membership ends. The entry fee is due within 14 days and the share within 30 days of receiving the admission decision. The statutes do not mention an annual fee; fees for separately ordered services are set by the board.
Fee basis: flat annual fee
