The national association of Polish beef cattle breeders and producers, with an office in Warsaw. It keeps the herd book for beef breeds (e.g. Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Limousin, Simmental beef type), carries out performance recording, runs breeding programmes and organises shows. It publishes the quarterly “Bydło Mięsne” and newsletters, and sits on the beef promotion fund committee (2025–2029).
Voluntary. Ordinary members can be any farm owner or user and any business that keeps herd-book-registered purebred beef cattle or beef crosses, or fattens cattle. Members must submit their registered animals to performance recording. You join with a written declaration approved by the board; anyone who supports the association financially or otherwise can be a supporting member.
On joining you pay an entry fee (wpisowe) set by the board, and the board may set an annual fee; the organisation does not publish these amounts — please ask directly. Service fees for members from 1 July 2025: performance recording PLN 113.64 per cow per year (net), pedigree certificate PLN 34, herd-book entry document PLN 15.
