No direct farmer membership
The independent national umbrella of Austria's cattle breeders, founded in 1954 and representing more than 19,000 breeders. Its members are the provincial breeding associations, the performance recording organisations (LKV), agricultural chambers, artificial insemination stations and breed working groups. It coordinates breeding programmes, performance recording and genetic evaluation.
Farmers are not direct members: they belong through their provincial breeding association (e.g. NÖ Genetik, Rind Steiermark, Rinderzucht Tirol, FIH, RZO). The list of breeding associations is published on rinderzucht.at.
Farmers do not pay Rinderzucht Austria directly; the fee is collected by the provincial breeding association. The organisation does not publish the amount — please ask directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
