Čebelarska zveza Slovenije is the non-profit professional union of Slovenian beekeeping associations, founded in 1898. It brings together 207 beekeeping associations (čebelarsko društvo) and 14 regional unions with almost 7,400 beekeepers. It runs the public beekeeping advisory service (JSSČ), forage forecasting and beekeeper training, publishes Slovenski čebelar, and is the recognised breeding organisation for the Carniolan bee (kranjska čebela). It is for every beekeeper.
Membership is voluntary, through a local beekeeping association (čebelarsko društvo); members get a membership card. The website gives no exact conditions.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly (at your local beekeeping association). The membership card gives discounts at partner businesses.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
