Voluntary
The civic association of Slovak small-animal breeders (rabbits, poultry, pigeons, cage birds and other small animals), active across the country. Its aim is to preserve and improve the gene pool of purebred breeds and to protect endangered breeds. It is made up of basic organisations, area organisations and breed clubs; it organises shows and judging, issues leg rings and recognises breeding flocks. Most members are hobby breeders.
Membership is voluntary and is always held in a basic organisation (usually the one nearest your home): it needs a written application, the members' meeting's decision, acceptance of the statutes and payment of the fee. Citizens of Slovakia or any European country can join; young breeders aged 6–18 can also join (under 15 with parental consent). A legal person can become a collective member by agreement. A basic organisation can be formed with at least 6 members.
The fee is set by the union's bodies and is paid through the basic organisation for each calendar year; the website does not give the amount — ask your local basic organisation.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
