Who are they?

About

The national umbrella of Austria's forest owner associations — mainly small and family forest owners — with eight provincial Waldverbände. Active since 2000, it is non-profit and a professional association of the agricultural chamber (Landwirtschaftskammer). It organises joint timber marketing, gives forestry advice and represents forest owners.

Voluntary membership for forest owners. Membership is through the provincial Waldverband (Burgenland, Kärnten, Niederösterreich, Oberösterreich, Salzburg, Steiermark, Tirol, Vorarlberg) and its local forest management groups (Waldwirtschaftsgemeinschaft). There is no provincial organisation in Vienna. The national website does not state exact conditions (e.g. minimum forest area).
