Association of Charolais and Aubrac beef cattle breeders, based in Mezőcsát; according to the NÉBIH register it is a recognised breeding organisation for the Charolais breed. It keeps the herd book, carries out performance testing and breeding value estimation (Breedplan) and organises SNP-based parentage verification. It runs events, study tours and training (CATE Akadémia) for members. As a member of the Magyar Szarvasmarhatenyésztők Szövetsége it belongs to the Magyar Állattenyésztők Szövetsége (MÁSZ).
Voluntary. Full members can be natural or legal persons who breed or keep Charolais or Aubrac cattle, share the association's aims, accept the fee and have proper individual identification and records; the board accepts the application (with an ENAR summary and a membership contract) after a personal professional consultation. Supporting membership without animals is also possible. Membership is voluntary, but only members can take part in the breeding programme — which you need if you want to produce and sell registered breeding animals (2019. évi LVI. törvény, 188/2019. (VII. 30.) Korm. rendelet).
Under the price list of 4 December 2025 (net): basic fee HUF 50,000 per year for full and supporting members. On top comes an animal-based fee: a herd book fee of HUF 2,500 per animal per year for registered animals older than 12 months on 1 January (HUF 1,850 of this can be covered by breeding-organisation support; HUF 1,250 for those joining after 30 June), and a recording fee of HUF 650 per year for female animals outside the herd book. New members pay the basic and animal-based fee after their admission is approved. Services are charged separately (e.g. main herd book entry HUF 4,000–6,000, conformation scoring HUF 525 per animal).
