Its aim is to bring research results into practice and to strengthen the competitiveness of organic farming. Its coordinator and seat is Bioinstitut (Olomouc). It is a member of IFOAM Organics Europe. It is not an interest group in the strict sense but a forum for professional cooperation.
Membership is voluntary; organisations (research bodies, universities, producers, processors, sector organisations) can join with a simple application form sent to the coordinator (Bioinstitut). According to the website the platform has 28 member organisations.
