The Deutscher Raiffeisenverband e.V. (DRV) is the national federation of cooperatives in German agriculture and food, based in Berlin. Its 1,599 member businesses (June 2026) – supply and marketing, dairy, livestock and meat, wine, fruit and vegetable and agricultural cooperatives – have about 104,000 employees and a turnover of €77.8 billion. Farmers, growers and winegrowers are the members and owners of the cooperatives. The DRV is a member of Cogeca and represents its members in Berlin, Brussels and internationally.
DRV members are cooperatives, central cooperatives and regional cooperative federations, not individual farmers. A farmer is connected through membership of a local cooperative (e.g. a Raiffeisen supply and marketing, dairy or wine cooperative); the cooperatives are looked after directly by the regional federations.
Individual farmers pay no DRV fee; cooperative shares and fees are set by the local cooperative — ask there.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
