No direct farmer membership
The national professional organisation of German winegrowers, based in Bonn. Founded in Trier in 1874; since 1913 only regional associations can be members, today more than 30 organisations, including 17 regional winegrowers' associations (Weinbauverbände). It represents winegrowers at federal and EU level and publishes the trade journal “Der Deutsche Weinbau” (ddw).
Umbrella body: individual growers cannot join directly. A winegrower joins the regional association of their wine region (e.g. Badischer Weinbauverband, Weinbauverband Württemberg) and belongs to the DWV through it.
No direct fee for farmers; the fee is paid to the regional winegrowers' association.
Fee basis: no data yet
