Rinderzucht Schleswig-Holstein (RSH) is a cooperative founded in 1992 and the only cattle breeding and AI station in Schleswig-Holstein. It keeps herdbooks for black-and-white and red-and-white Holsteins, Angler and many beef breeds, provides AI and sells breeding cattle (auctions, from the farm, export). In August 2025 it had 3,573 members. It is for dairy and beef farmers in Schleswig-Holstein.
Voluntary. Under the statutes, owners of farms keeping breeding and commercial cattle who want to use the cooperative's services and support its aims can join; taking part in the breeding programme also requires herdbook membership of the cooperative. Breeders in the programme's area who do proper breeding work have a right to membership. A written membership declaration and board approval are required.
Under the fee schedule valid from 1 September 2026, the basic farm fee is EUR 50 + VAT (EUR 53.50) per member per year, and the annual fee per herdbook cow is EUR 3 + VAT. One cooperative share is EUR 800 (at least EUR 80 must be paid in). Beef herdbook: farm fee EUR 85 (1–5 cows) or EUR 110 (from 6 cows), plus EUR 12.50 per breeding cow (net).
Fee basis: flat annual fee
