Voluntary
A Spanish national farmers' organisation (organización profesional agraria), formed in 1989 by the merger of three organisations (CNAG, CNJA, UFADE). It reports more than 200,000 members and works through a national head office, 15 regional centres, 40 provincial and 810 local offices, with a permanent office in Brussels. It represents farmers in negotiations with the government and the food industry; members get advice and paperwork support from the provincial and local offices. It is a member of Copa-Cogeca.
Voluntary. Any farmer (owner, tenant or family member working on the farm) who works directly in crop farming, livestock, forestry or related rural activities can join. Membership is taken out with the provincial/regional ASAJA organisation.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The fee is set by the provincial/regional ASAJA organisation.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
