Farmers' union · Spain · national
Voluntary
Spain's first national farmers' organisation (1977), representing the family-farming model. It is made up of regional unions (uniones) and reports serving more than 150,000 farmers through 220 offices, with a permanent office in Brussels. The ministry recognises it as one of the most representative farm organisations, so it sits on the government's agricultural advisory committee. It is a member of Copa-Cogeca and of the European Coordination Via Campesina.
Voluntary. Farmers (crop and livestock producers) join through the regional union for their area (e.g. COAG Andalucía, UAGA Aragón, JARC Catalunya, EHNE); the organisation is made up of these unions.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly. The national assembly sets the fee framework; payment is made to the regional union.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
