Mandatory levy, no membership
The interbranch organisation of Spanish table olives (aceituna de mesa), founded in 2004. Its five member organisations are ASAJA, UPA, COAG, the exporters' and processors' association ASEMESA and Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias. It funds international promotion campaigns, research (e.g. mechanical harvesting, new varieties, environment), quality and food-safety work, and represents the sector with the authorities.
Members are associations; a farmer does not join directly. The extension under Orden APA/593/2022 (1 Sep 2022 – 31 Aug 2027) binds every grower who sells olives for table-olive processing (entamado): the processing plant pays the producer contribution on the grower's behalf at delivery.
€5.10 per tonne in total, of which €1.70/t falls on the grower (weight of raw olives), €1.70/t on the processor (entamador) and €1.70/t on the packer. The receiving processing plant deducts and pays the grower's share.
Fee basis: area/volume-based
