No direct farmer membership
The national coordination of Italy's three main cooperative federations (AGCI, Confcooperative, Legacoop), founded in 2011; its agri-food branch is ACI Agroalimentare. It jointly represents cooperatives towards the government, parliament and the EU, and is a member of the European Cogeca. Farmers do not join directly: they are linked through their cooperative, via one of the three federations.
Umbrella organisation: its members are the three cooperative federations (in agriculture: Confcooperative Agroalimentare Pesca, Legacoop Agroalimentare and AGCI AgroIttico). Farmers and cooperatives belong through one of these.
There is no direct membership for individual farmers; cooperatives pay contributions to their member federation, the amounts of which are not published.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
