The association of Italian wine businesses (wineries, wine merchants, cooperatives), founded in Milan in 1895; its main office is now in Verona. By its own figures it has more than 770 member companies, which account for over half of Italian wine turnover. It represents the sector in Italy and the EU, offers legal and technical services, runs a wine laboratory, publishes the weekly Corriere Vinicolo and organises the SIMEI/Enovitis trade fairs.
Voluntary. Wine-sector businesses can apply through the website form; the council decides on the application, and after approval a digital membership form must be completed. It is aimed more at medium and larger wineries.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly.
