The interbranch organisation of the sheep and goat sector: founded in 2019 through cooperation between the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), the Hungarian Sheep and Goat Breeders' Association and the Sheep Product Board, and recognised in 2021. It brings together producers, processors, traders and supporters to keep production, processing, trade and consumption in balance. It publishes price information, publications and sector news on lamb and mutton, sheep and goat milk, and wool.
Voluntary, open membership: sheep or goat keepers, traders in live animals, wool or milk, processors and supporting members can join. According to the organisation, membership can give extra points in grant applications.
Annual fee by activity. Producer: HUF 20 per breeding ewe/doe. Trader: HUF 20 per animal bought, 15 fillér/kg for wool, 15 fillér/litre for milk. Processor: HUF 15 per animal, 15 fillér/kg for wool, 15 fillér/litre for milk. Supporting member: HUF 100,000 a year.
