Breeders' association for the Limousin and Blonde d'Aquitaine beef breeds and the recognised breeding organisation for both. It keeps the herd book, organises on-farm and central performance testing (ÜSTV, KSTV) and runs a genomics programme. It holds a national breed show every year and produces its own video news programme.
Voluntary membership for farms breeding Limousin or Blonde d'Aquitaine beef cattle; to join you send an application form and an SME declaration. Under 188/2019. (VII. 30.) Korm. rendelet the association may not refuse membership if the breeder accepts the membership obligations, and it must enter animals of the breed in the herd book on request. To produce and sell registered breeding animals you have to take part in the breeding programme.
Under the fee schedule valid from 1 May 2026: an annual basic fee of HUF 30,000 per herd plus HUF 1,000 per animal (net, plus VAT). Herdbook registration costs HUF 1,850 per animal for members and HUF 45,000 for non-members; a pedigree certificate costs HUF 6,000 for a heifer and HUF 12,000 for a bull.
