Association of breeders of old Hungarian poultry breeds, founded in Gödöllő in 1997 as Magyar Kisállatnemesítők Génmegőrző Egyesülete; in 2017 it took its present name and extended its work to gene conservation of all farm animal species. As a recognised breeding organisation it manages breed maintenance and herd book registration of the elite flocks of native chicken, turkey, guinea fowl, goose and duck breeds, and registers breed-true end products. It has been a member of the Magyar Állattenyésztők Szövetsége (MÁSZ) since 1999 and a public-benefit organisation since 2008. Its website is old (2017–2018); according to the NÉBIH register its seat is now in Valkó.
Voluntary. Under the statutes (2014) any Hungarian or foreign citizen or legal person can become a member who shares the association's aims, accepts the statutes and applies with a membership declaration; the general assembly (or, by delegation, the board) decides on admission. Elite (nucleus) flocks of old Hungarian poultry breeds can be kept as a registered breeder taking part in the breeding programme (2019. évi LVI. törvény, 188/2019. (VII. 30.) Korm. rendelet).
Under the 2014 statutes the annual fee is a basic HUF 1,000 (by 31 January) plus 66% of the breeding-organisation support the association pays to the member; on joining, the fee is due within 30 days. The organisation publishes no more recent fee data — ask them directly.
Fee basis: flat annual fee
