Voluntary
The breeding organisation for the Pannonian honey bee (Apis mellifera carnica pannonica). It started in 1982 as a queen-rearing group and has been a registered breeding organisation since 1993. It brings together queen-rearing apiaries and runs the breeding programme and performance testing of colonies. It is for beekeepers who want to rear breeding queens or buy queens of verified origin.
Membership is voluntary. Breeders carry out breeding and performance testing according to the statutes, the law and the breeding programme; only apiaries in the breeding programme can sell verified breeding queens. The website does not give the detailed admission conditions.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
