Who are they?

About

The cattle breeding association of Lower Austria, organised as a cooperative and based in Bergland. It brings together local breeders' clubs, keeps the herd book and holds breeding cattle auctions in Bergland and Rottenbach. It works with dairy (Holstein, Brown Swiss), dual-purpose (Fleckvieh) and beef breeds. Member of Rinderzucht Austria.

Voluntary membership for cattle keepers in Lower Austria. To have cows entered in the herd book (Herdebuch) and to sell breeding stock at the association's auctions, you take part in the association's breeding programme, which in practice goes through membership. The website does not state exact entry conditions.
