Zadružna zveza Slovenije is the voluntary union of Slovenian agricultural and forestry cooperatives: it brings together 58 cooperatives and 3 companies in 13 regions. About 13,000 farmers are members of the cooperatives, which buy most of the milk, cattle, pigs and grapes and supply farmers with seed, fertiliser and feed. Farmers are linked to it through their local cooperative.
Membership is voluntary. Members can be cooperatives registered in Slovenia working in agriculture or forestry, and legal persons mainly controlled by member cooperatives or whose membership benefits the cooperative sector. Farmers are not direct members: they join a local cooperative.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask them directly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
