Voluntary
The voluntary union of Slovak grape growers and winemakers, formed by merging the Slovak Vine Growers' Union (1992) and the Union of Grape and Wine Producers (1993). Its 104 members account for 87% of Slovak wine production and about 4,300 ha of vineyards; by its own account it is the only recognised producer organisation in the wine sector in Slovakia. It represents the sector, organises the National Wine Salon of Slovakia and other wine competitions, gives advice and also does research. It is a member of SPPK.
Membership is voluntary. Under the statutes (2020), full members are businesses that produce grapes and wine; applications are made in writing, the general assembly decides by a three-quarters majority of those present, and membership starts once the fee is paid. Associate members can be direct suppliers to wineries (bottles, labels, packaging) or organisations working with wine.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask directly.
